Patients who have had a recent knee injury, e.g. weekend sports injury.
What are the benefits?
The acute knee injury clinic allows for early expert assessment of the injury.
Imaging facilities including X-Rays, MRI scanner, ultrasound, Dopplers and nuclear medicine are all onsite and can be accessed without undue delay.
Early treatment of the injury can be commenced, including advanced treatments such as PRP injections. Surgery can be done onsite at St Vincent’s Clinic Day surgery Unit or in St Vincent’s Private Hospital.

Who refers patients to the acute knee injury clinic?
GP’s, physiotherapists, sports doctors, sports trainers, coaches. Patients may also refer themselves.
Do I need a referral?
No. You can attend without a referral from a GP. However, if you have a referral from another doctor you will receive a greater rebate from Medicare for your consultation.
